Items in The Blood of Dawnwalker are easy to vendor like Witcher junk. Do not. Day Coen has no passive regen. Night Coen only half-regens. The shrine chest is the only honest bank. Key objects and manuals gate skill trees. Crafting is the official bottle bench: tinctures and concoctions, not a second loot game. Weapons change the speed of a directional read. Armor is less of a fashion DLC and more of a mistake buffer. This hub is the survival layer. Weapons and armor are the loadout layer.
Consumables and the stash
Eat in sunlight after a duel, not during a cutscene you cannot pause. Feed at night on purpose. If both meters are empty, you will spend the next village as a disaster. Put spare food in a shrine before a roof run. If bloodthirst kills a merchant, the stash is why you are not also starving. Travel is free; walking back for bread is still walking back.
Hexes tax health. That makes food a Witchcraft reagent. A Swordsman who dumps bread to pick up a third sword is paying for style with later noon deaths.
Key items and manuals
Investigation objects, mural readings, pixie bargains, and martial Manuals are not vendor trash. If a node on the sword tree wants a book, the book is a gate. Pearly and Precious exists to teach that a small enemy can hold a large reward. Inspect more. Sell less. There is no auction house. There is a valley, a handful of traders, and a hunger meter that can delete one of them. A Predator lives on animals and hostiles. A Swordsman lives on bread and charges. A Hybrid needs both, which is why the chest exists. Do not vendor the tutorial blade until a shrine holds a spare. Do not plan a crafting spreadsheet until the pause menu shows a bench. The Blood of Dawnwalker will not tooltip “this sandwich is a boss fight.” The daytime combat page already did.
