The Blood of Dawnwalker system requirements moved twice. April 2026 published a steep native-resolution ladder that put an RTX 5090 on 4K Ultra. Optimisation work and an August 2026 sheet walked those numbers down and labelled Balanced upscaling. If you bookmarked the spring article, throw it out. This page is the late-August publisher sheet plus the console argument that followed the 40 fps reveal.

Every row wants Windows 10 or later, DirectX 12, 16 GB of RAM, and a 60 GB SSD. There is no HDD story. DLSS, FSR, and XeSS are how the August numbers exist. If you refuse upscalers, look at the older native sheet in your head and buy more GPU, not more wiki. Steam Deck is not a published target. GOG and Steam both need that SSD.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series
On 24 August 2026 Rebel Wolves confirmed a day-one Performance Mode targeting 60 fps on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X, after console footage had only advertised Quality at 30 and Balanced at 40. Series S stays on a single 30 fps target. PS5 Pro also gets “overall visual enhancements.” These are targets, not captures. The disc is the full game; the patch is still how you get the third mode. Xbox Play Anywhere and Cloud remain part of the Xbox pitch. GeForce NOW is day one on PC-in-the-cloud. Full ladder, buy advice, and the no-Denuvo note live on performance. If 60 fps is your buy condition, verify the patch notes on 3 September in a duel, not a tweet from August.
