Who is next to you when the court opens
The Blood of Dawnwalker Endings
The Blood of Dawnwalker has seven distinct endings. Trophy lists name six of them. The seventh is the calendar running out — family on the slab, no ribbon. This page is a structure map, not a cutscene transcript. If you have not finished a first month, stop after the next paragraph and go play. The rest is spoiler-tagged by section title, not by cute black bars.
The spine is still the same: thirty days to get Coen’s family off Brencis’s coronation. Who stands with you, whether you take a deal, whether you flee the valley, and whether the clock empties first are the forks. Infamy and the three officers are how the endgame quest actually appears. Companions are how the four “proper” confrontations differ.
What you can know without a name
- You cannot 100% endings on one file. Allies, deals, and early exits sit on different months.
- Max Infamy after the three court officers is the usual key that makes Brencis talk. See infamy.
- Manual-save before the final quest. Trophy hunters reload that file. Role-players should still make it.
- Running out of days is an ending, not a crash-to-desktop. IGN’s pre-launch line still holds: the disc does not eject. The family does not survive it.
- Two “early” endings can fire long before a conventional siege. They still count as finishing the story for the base trophy, and they do not satisfy Duelist Laslea conditions. See difficulty.
The UNPAC conversation below is the studio talking about branching without listing the seven doors. Watch it if you want design talk. Skip it if you want a checklist. Then use the time planner so the month you are in still has a coronation to reach.
The seven doors (trophy names)
| Ending | How lists describe it | What it costs |
|---|---|---|
| Turncoat / a deal with Brencis | Betray allies, trade the valley for the family | People you recruited. A trophy if the family is still alive. |
| The Folk Hero | Defeat Brencis alone. Glory is not shared. | No Lacra, no Crake at your shoulder. |
| The Patricide | Defeat Brencis with Lacra | Her personal chain. See companions. |
| The Knyazmaker | Defeat Brencis with Crake / the Manumit path | His chain. Spelling in reviews sometimes says Craig. |
| A Hero They Deserve | Leave Vale Sangora. Leave the job. | An early door. Responsibility is the thing you drop. |
| Together Forever | Stay with the family inside a closed loop | A missable, dream-gated secret. Not the default siege. |
| Time Runs Out | More than thirty days. The sacrifice happens. | No trophy. The month is the mechanic. |
PowerPyx-class lists are the public source for those names. In-game spelling wins if a menu disagrees. The Folk Hero / Patricide / Knyazmaker trio is “who is standing next to Coen.” The deal is “who you sold.” The two early doors are “you refused the siege.” The calendar is “you shopped.” None of them are a skill tree node.
How to hunt them without wrecking file one
Play file one as a person. Pick an ally or pick none. Feed. Read hourglasses. Finish. Then, if you care about ribbons, keep a save at “A Deal with the Devil” — the endgame parley trophy hunters mention after the Infamy edicts roll. Reload is how the four court endings become an afternoon instead of four months. Together Forever and the flee ending are the ones that want different habits earlier, including a prologue medicine check for Esme that lists call out as a gate.
Do not open this page in the silver mine. The prologue is a corridor. The seven doors start after the family is taken.
Frequently asked questions
Does the game end on day 31?
It resolves. Time Runs Out is the bad ending: the coronation sacrifice happens. It is not a hard wipe of the save in the arcade sense. Plan as if the slab is real.
Can I see every ending in one playthrough?
Not honestly. Keep a parley save for the court four. Expect extra files for the early doors and the secret loop.
Which ending is canon?
Rebel Wolves have not published a canon stamp. The saga trailer teases Coen beyond Vale Sangora. That is marketing, not a verdict on your month.
